Thriving Lawns the Natural Way
For grass to grow thick and green it needs healthy soil to support it. That doesn't happen with conventional fertilizers and synthetic chemicals, which promote plant growth while failing to establish a healthy, natural root system. Lawns managed with conventional treatments also require continuous applications of chemical weedkillers to keep grass from being strangled out by weeds. It is a never-ending cycle of trying to make grass grow without actually providing it with what it really needs to do that: organic nourishment. All those chemicals pollute the environment and create toxic lawns, too.

The better approach, and the one that we use at Kingwood Fertilizing, is creating a strong root system by improving the soil. Using effective natural formulas that contain beneficial nutrients and organic matter that actually gets absorbed, our program reestablishes a healthy soil full of natural microbes that oxygenate it, feed it, and feed the plants growing in it. It provides a better foundation for grassroots to be nourished by the water and nutrients in the soil so they grow thicker and deeper, making a greener, fuller lawn. The stronger and denser the grass root system is, the less space there is for weeds, too.

Our family has resided
in "The Livable Forest" since 1982, making Kingwood and its surrounding
neighborhoods near and dear to us. Graduates of Kingwood High School,
we chose this wonderful place to settle down and raise our own family,
too. In this time, we have spent more than 25 years working in the green
industry, helping to keep Kingwood greener and gaining experience every
step of the way. Lawn care is what we do, and what we are passionate
about it. So passionate, in fact, that our teenage son came to us one
day and said that he was ready to be an entrepreneur and follow his
dreams of starting up a local organic fertilizing company.
When we asked him why his answer was simple: because dad always talked about having an organic fertilizing company where he could make a difference and I wanted to be his partner. We've talked about it for years, how much lawn chemicals contribute to the destruction of our environment, and how there needs to be more organic and natural options available to homeowners to keep their homes and families safe. He was right! So, we decided to start figuring out the best organic products to keep people safe with a beautiful healthy yard. Now, not only are we making a positive environmental impact in our neighborhood and planet, we have a family business that our children can continue and grow in the future. This would make us a 3rd generation, Kingwood Lawn business family.
