Sugar Cream Pie

FoFa says: "For some reason, this was always a tradition around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays around our house. A lot of people raved about this (how ever it was not one of my favorites, but I tend towards fruit pies). Easy to make, and worth a try if you have a sweet tooth."


INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tea. nutmeg
pinch of salt
1 c. boiling water
1/2 tea. vanilla
5 oz. can evaporated milk
1 Tbsp. butter, cut up
pie shell



DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl mix together the sugar, flour, nutmeg, and salt. Add the boiling water, vanilla, and milk. Pour into a prepared, unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle with a little more nutmeg, dot with butter.
Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes or until set in the center. Let cool completely before cutting!
