"Upon arrival the 2 man team went right to work and changed my water heater in right at 1hr. Great work to say the least.

When advised of the charges I was charged for 2hrs @ $120 per hr. Was advised they charge for travel time from job to job. I asked how was a customer to validate this time and distance and would not pay for this.

I received a call at 3:05 advising they were on the way and showed up 30 minutes later. I was told all plumbers do this charge. Beware of this add on and question heavily before accepting this before agreeing to their service. A working rate and driving rate would not be the same even if agreed to in the first place.

Don't pay this...Bill Stuffing Process..."

"After John Moore tried to scam me during the freeze of 2010 with pricing of $823.00 and showing up 5 hours late. The job was to fix a straight line fitting buried 8" below ground. I threw him out and contacted Pride Plumbing the next morning and Mike made the appointment plus showed up within an hour. He assesed the problem, began work immediately and finished within an hour. The charge was under $160.00 with parts, labor and digging. He was polite and charged a fair wage for a fair job.

"Beware of John Moore Service, ie:PLUMBING!! During the freeze of 2010, I called them out to repair a cracked fitting on PVC on my main line inlet to the house. It was only 8" below ground. Called in at 9:03 AM, I was given a time of between 2 and 5 PM to have a plumber at my home if not sooner.

I called at 2:30 PM to remind them that there is no light available where they would have to do the repair once the sun went down.
I called again at 4:25 PM and was told they were just finishing up and on their way.
I called again at 5:30 PM and was assured they were coming.
I received a call at 6:30 PM they were on their way.
A young man arrived at 7:50 PM, assessed the situation with a pen light. After trying to upsell me on redoing my entire PVC with flexible hose,he then proceeded to tell me it would require $489.00 of trenching and backfill, plus repair of the line which before taxes amounted to $823.00. I threw him out.
The repair cost $146.00 from another local plumber and they showed up on time the next day, per their word.
NEVER CALL JOHN MOORE as you may find yourself being scammed too."
