The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce will recognize and honor local small businesses at the Small Business Salute Luncheon.
The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce will recognize and honor local small businesses at the Small Business Salute Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 17 at Kingwood Country Club.

Small business owners and operators make up 90 percent of the Chamber�s membership. At the November 17 luncheon the Chamber will recognize the impact our small business owners have on the Lake Houston Area community and economy, highlight the Chamber's Small Business Saturday initiative, recognize the Lone Star College Small Business Development Center Small Business of the Year Award finalists and celebrate the Total Resource Campaign with a Victory Party marking the successful end of the 2015 campaign.

Finalists for the Small Business of the Year Award Presented by Lone Star College Small Business Development Center are Connie and Darryl Chandler with Minuteman Press Humble, Dr. Polly Heil-Mealey and Stephen W. Hale with Abundant Health & Wellness Center and Judy Hayes with RE/MAX Rewards.

�November 28 is Small Business Saturday, a day dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country,� said Jenna Armstrong, Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce President and COO. �Just like last year, the Chamber was awarded the distinguished honor of being a Neighborhood Champion. The Chamber is a Small Business Saturday advocate and we have resources and tools to help our local small businesses leverage this national campaign. At the November 17 luncheon we�ll launch an official #ShopSmall campaign with giveaways including tote bags, welcome mats, pens, balloons, stickers, buttons and more. Come pledge to #ShopSmall on Small Business Saturday.�

Reservations are due by noon Friday, November 13. Cost to attend is $30 for Chamber members and $35 for guests. Reservations made after the deadline are subject to availability and will be at the rate of $35 for members or $40 for guests.
