Community members have joined hands to help make FamilyTime Crisis &
Counseling Centers fifth annual Purple Ribbon Luncheon be another huge
success. The annual event is in recognition of Domestic Violence
Awareness Month and in honor of FamilyTimes Women of Achievement
1990-2014. It will be held on Friday, October 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Kingwood Country Club.
This years Purple Ribbon Luncheon will again have a very special
speaker. FamilyTime provides services and shelter to victims of
domestic violence and sexual abuse. It has been a resource and safe
haven for victims of human trafficking. Dont miss this opportunity to
hear the speakers compelling story.
Attendees are encouraged to join the social hour and silent auction viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The guests will have the chance to bid on items such as an ice cream
maker, boys and girls bikes, restaurant gift card package, wine
package, rodeo package, amethyst jewelry, hand carved jewelry box,
American Girl Doll, Vera Bradley set, golf for 4 at Walden, etc. There
will also be a Wine Pull table where guests can select a quality bottle
of wine.
Make a difference and be a part of this event. FamilyTime is reaching
out to local businesses to participate by donating to the silent
auction. Please remember that no donation is ever too small. Each
donation will be recognized and on display the day of the event. Every
gift is significant, and every gift makes a difference in keeping
families safe.
The Purple Ribbon Luncheon proceeds will benefit FamilyTime Crisis &
Counseling Center. The committees goal is to raise funds so that
FamilyTime can continue its valuable work in the community. In addition
to chair Linda Prator, the committee members are Kathy Adkins, Elizabeth
Burger, Janie Branham, Jennifer Bohner, Kyle Campbell, Carolyn Cain,

additional opportunities for sponsorships. The event sponsor is Modern
