American Cancer Society's Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.
At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length. Relayers do not have to walk all night, but each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.
Relay for Life of Humble/Kingwood is looking for volunteers, teams, and sponsors. Our event will take place on April 27-28, 2012, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am at Summer Creek High School.
If you would like any more information about Relay for Life and how you can help, we are having a Relay Kick Off party at Summer Creek High School on January 24, 2012 at 6:30 pm. We would love to have the community come out and learn about this important event!
