Dr. Susan Curling Seeks Republican Nomination for Texas House District 127 - Kingwood

A life-long Republican, Dr. Curling is vying to replace outgoing State Representative, Joe Crabb, who recently announced that he would not seek re-election.

“It is with great enthusiasm that I announce my candidacy for Texas House District 127,” said Dr. Curling.  “Having been a resident and physician in the Humble-Kingwood area for over 20 years, I have built countless trusting relationships in our community that will prove invaluable in Austin.  I’m a proud conservative Republican that will fight to maintain Texas’ low tax, business-friendly environment and make a well educated, healthy workforce a top priority,” she added.

State Representative Dr. John Zerwas, Chairman of the House Appropriations subcommittee on Health and Human Services has officially announced his endorsement of Dr. Curling.

“Dr. Susan Dobbs Curling will have an extraordinary impact on District 127 and the State of Texas,” said State Representative Dr. John Zerwas.  “Her leadership capabilities are reflected by her past service as President of the Harris County Medical Society as well other leadership roles in the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists and the Texas Medical Association. It is with great pleasure that I formally endorse the candidacy of Dr. Susan Dobbs Curling for the office of Texas State Representative, District 127,” he added.

As a licensed anesthesiologist and an MBA, Dr. Curling will bring a rare set of knowledge and experience to the Texas Legislature.  Dr. Curling has deep ties in Harris County having grown up and attended high school in the Houston area.  She has served as the President of the Harris County Medical Society, the Houston Academy of Medicine and on the Executive Committee of the Texas Medical Association’s political action committee.

Dr. Susan Curling is a former resident of the Channelview area who now resides in Humble and works at both the Kingwood and Humble hospitals, where she now serves as Chief of Staff.  She has been recognized for her service to the community being named a Harris County Star 2001 by Judge Robert Eckles and garnering the American Blood Centers 2001 National Award of Excellence. In addition, she has been a vigorous supporter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, raising thousands of dollars for breast cancer research. She is a Friend of the Atascocita Library and a member of the Humble & Kingwood Chambers of Commerce.

Dr. Curling and her husband, Dr. Patrick Curling, have three children: Shelagh, Pat, and Emily.  She regularly attends church services at both the First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood and St. Martha’s Catholic Church.

Curling is not a Republican. Curling is not conservative. Curling is a mirror of Nancy Pelosi.

I don't care if the woman gave $500.00 dollars to Health Care Reform supporter Gene Green. Is she good for Texas or not is the question? And will she bring needed reform to our school system, whom by the way are struggling due to a lack of funds and support. I wish I had the time and energy to check your back grounds and pull out every past, and trivial decision you made and make a case out of it.
