Beginning on Tuesday, February 23 the City of Houston's Public Works and Engineering Department (PWE) is scheduled to conduct concrete maintenance work between the 560 and 2500 block of Kingwood Drive. The goal of this effort is to preserve and prolong the life of the road base while providing a smoother riding surface. Crews will work between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday until the project's expected completion on Monday, March 7, weather permitting. During the project drivers should expect intermittent lane closures and delays in the area. To ensure driver and worker safety, traffic control measures will be in place on site including traffic barrels, traffic cones, directional signage and flagmen. The District E office has also contacted the Houston Police Department's Kingwood substation to ask that officers can monitor the location and provide assistance with traffic control as needed.Public Works and Engineering will be using a polymer-injection procedure which is effective on pavement that has subsided or that has experienced some degree of faulting. These injections fill voids in the subgrade and can lift panels to their original heights. Additional maintenance procedures may also include small repairs with asphalt. For more information on the upcoming Kingwood Drive polymer injection project, please contact the District E office at (832) 393-3008 or via email at districte@houstontx.gov**Construction will begin on the westbound side of Kingwood Dr.** 4951
560 Kingwood drive through 2500 Kingwood drive is from Wendy's through the Fire Station (give or take a few yards) up front Kingwood. So basically KDC offices will be a real pain to get too
I wish they would go a little further and take care of that huge dip next to Kings Forest. (The one going outbound on Kingwood Drive about a block before Woodlands Hills.) 4951
Slow the fk down, at the posted speed limit, the vehicle shouldn't fly off the track! Anything above 55 your *** deserves to be wrapped around the tree 30ft in front of the dip. 4951
