Does anyone else read the classifieds and think WTH? It amazes me the things that people put up for sale, the $ they think it is worth and the details they put in the ads and the pictures.  Ok, so I am bored and too much free time. 4951

I buy and sell stuff there all the time.  Lots of good deals to be had. Great way to get rid of stuff around the house you don't need too. Everyone I've done business with on there has been great. 4951

I love the classifieds!  I just picked up some stuff this morning.  Took us a while to work out a pickup time but we finally did.  Some sellers think their stuff is gold.  Most of the time they will come down to reality if you make an offer after it has sat there for a week or two.   4951

My favorite is always going to be couches. Flaking leather and a few tears? 200 bucks. Faded fabric and huge stains? 150............also you have to pick it up and we live on the fourth floor.......no elevator. 4951

@frebu: Just because it does not fit your needs it may be perfect for someone else... If it is a good name brand and solid someone who upholsters may buy it for resale.... you just never know......

@Ebola: Kind of makes you wonder if that tube is sealed or it is a partial.  Even new, can't imagine it is worth it to either sell or buy.

@Txbutterfly:  Gee, I just posted a new item today and am sort of feeling guilty.  Hmmm, could it be one of my items?  In my opinion the more detail you can provide (depending on the item) the better.  And as for price, I ALWAYS mark things down after a short period of time; and I've been successful doing it this way.  But again, this is just my opinion and my method.  Plus I've been told I tend to be long-winded, so you very well could be referring to me.   But that's OK; I can handle it.   Whew, didn't I tell you all I'm long-winded!!   Heeheehee...

@GoldenGirl: I have never purchased a new couch in my life, however random stains and tears lower the value of a couch considerably. 150 dollars for a stained couch(just a plain 3+ person couch) is way overpriced, even for a solid brand.

Some people do have high prices on their junk but have found some deals on here.

If you really want a headache try selling something on the classifieds. I have had so many weirdos contact me wanting to buy something just to have them never respond again. Or they want to offer a quarter of the asking price and have me deliver it to Baytown.

That being said I have sold things in the classifieds and it's free to list stuff. So overall it's actually pretty good. 4951

@JerryJustice: What can I say, I throw out a lot of lines when I'm searching for a specific thing and I don't always follow up with everybody once I get what I'm looking for.

I like it when you put firm on the price and they still ask you what your lowest price is. Crazy. 4951
