And we already have a stranger danger notice. F((*(*@(*) @ss*&*^). Leave our kids alone![Added by ADMIN]"I want to make you aware of an incident that was reported to us over the weekend. On Friday evening, a 5th grader riding his bike at Willow Terrace and Hidden Valley noticed two men he did not know were following him in a white truck. He cut across the green belt and woods to avoid the truck. He described the men as older. One man was described as white with dark blond dreadlocks and the other was described as black with the sides of his head shaved. The white truck had gold skirting. The boy’s parents reported the incident to Houston police. WCE reported the incident to Humble ISD Police, who will patrol the area today at school dismissal. This is a good opportunity to emphasize the following safety tips with your family members:• Walk to and from school in groups. â€¢ If anything unusual occurs, tell an adult immediately. Time can be critical.• Never talk to strangers or accept rides from them, even if you are stranded. Call a trusted adult for transportation.• Be proactive: tour the neighborhood to identify safe and dangerous circumstances and places. Arrange for immediate access to neighbors or other trusted adults who could be contacted in an emergency.• Don’t panic. If you are afraid or have a problem, call a parent or a trusted adult. â€¢ Never tell people at your door, phone callers, or online that you are home alone. â€¢ Keep your house key hidden. Don’t give it to anyone and don’t keep it in a visible place that would tell people you are going home to an empty house. â€¢ Never get into a car, enter a home, look for a lost pet or person, or accept food or items from an adult, unless your parents know what you are doing or have identified that person as a trusted emergency contact.• Tell a trusted adult – parent, teacher or counselor – if anyone ever makes you feel uncomfortable. When children are abused, it often is by someone they know.Thank you for discussing these important points with your child."Scott Duncan, PrincipalWillow Creek Elementary Schoolhttp://www.humbleisd.net/strangerdanger 4951

Not gonna lie, sounds like a kids excuse for being late coming home......or that kid is just super observant. When I was in 5th grade it was 50/50 if I checked a street before riding my bike out onto it from the greenbelt, never mind that some guy in a van had shaved the side of his head. Not saying he is lying it just seem like a lot of details coming from a 10 year old........ 4951

Fallon, I remember that! It gives you a sickening feeling to think someone is out watching the kids. 4951
