Just wanted to see what the general consensus was on this idea. It would likely roll at over 200mph so that would shave arrival down from 180+ minutes to around 90 give or take...I say no. Huge expense for taxpayers, a lot of free loaders...low income riding for free, constant security..the costs would be insane. I would however go big. There is a tubular system that clocks and like over 600mph. I think this is the better plan and more cost effective. It would also put us on the map as having the most advanced mode of travel on the planet. People would come just to ride on it.  4951

IDK there is a ton of traffic between Houston and Dallas on I-45... The question is do you want to sit next to a stranger for a hour and a half. Not to mention you will need a rental car or taxi when you get there. 4951

If they don't bring it to downtown, last I saw they weren't, it is useless. 4951

Lot of people are flying and that turns into a 3 hour experience fairly consistently. And jammed into all sorts of strangers. 4951
