I was pleased when I went out front to get my cat and I didn't get chewed up by mosquitoes. I guess the truck must have made its rounds-hooray! instead, I battled a spider with babies, 2 tree roaches, a dozen milipedes, a slimy slug, a huge frog and two lizards. I moved the slug, left the lizards and frog alone, crushed the milipedes and stomped the roaches. YUCK! Exterminators are going to have a banner year in 2015. 4951

@topcat:
I'm trying to pick which is worst.
I'd say it's a tie btwn. the spider with babies & the tree roaches. Sounds like you won this battle. You're right though.... these critters are everywhere. 4951

Nope. They just aren't as bad after sunset. I went out about 6 to meet a contractor in my yard and got not 1, not 2 but 24 mosquito bites on my lower legs within about 20 minutes. I counted the spots! 4951

Also, since sitting on my porch for the last 30 mins I've killed 2 tree roaches and 1 June bug. I'm in Bb. 4951

Im in ST on the greenbelt. I also have a sewer (?) In my front yard. There is a manhole cover there. At night when I drive up I can see a cockroach meet and greet happenning. I have to spray it with the strongest stuff they make, and soon! 4951

Haven't tried this but I read that if you heat a metal spoon up and put it on mosquito bites it not only makes the itching stop but reduces redness too. 4951
