My niece & her small daughter lived at The Oaks and she really liked it. Â It's a quiet property located in the back of Kingwood and is across the street from the Houston PD substation, and Creekwood Middle School is just down the street. Â It's also close to HEB & Randalls groceries, the local Ace Hardware, & plenty of restaurants & shops. Â I can't speak to the current prices, but she had a ~916SF, 2/2 apartment with a small, fenced patio and was quite happy there. Â She said she felt safe, and the upstairs resident, an older single fellow, kind of looked out for her (in a non-creepy, big brother kind of way). Â We (her family) were not worried about her safety at that location. Â Hope this helps.
@TallTxPines: I think you are talking about the apartments they knocked down and HEB is building there. If it's the corner of Kingwood Dr and West Lake Houston they are gone.
