What are your opinions on haunted houses in the Houston area?  I've heard that ScreamWorld was just so so. It would also be nice if it was a place not completely ruined by teenagers (I know, tall order there). Thanks.  4951

I think that one should not waste one's money.BTW - teenagers (and younger) are the target market so think you're stuck with them 4951

It seems all the haunted houses are magnets for teenagers and young adults 4951

No suggestions at all? We have great haunted houses back home so it's a tradition for us to go before Halloween to Waverly Hills Sanatorium (http://www.therealwaverlyhills.com/history.aspx) and other major haunts to get into the spirit. It just doesn't seem like Halloween without it. And I know that there will be kids at these places, just want to find a good, well run place with decent security. 4951

ScreamWorld is scary but you can always expect children and teens there. But the employees clearly spend a lot of time preparing makeup, costumes, and voice effects. Very loud place, so honestly all you hear is screaming and the growling/snarling of some of the most terrifying creatures they portray.Only bad thing I've seen about it is that some of the people working seem to think it's funny to shake/rattle/pound on the port-a-potties while people are occupying them. So as long as you go to the bathroom before you go, I find it highly enjoyable and a decent price. 4951

What about the place on 1960 in Humble? I haven't been just seen the signs as I drive by. 4951
