I called DirecTV to have them remove NFL Ticket and credit the account. Then I asked if there were any promotions or offers that could lower my bill. The agent replied "There's an offer for free for life advanced DVR. It will only add $3 to your monthly bill."$3 isn't free, nor does adding $3 monthly lower the bill. 4951
They are programmed to try to boost your bill, not help you reduce it. However, if you make moves to cancel and let them know you are going to Dish or something else, they will fall all over themselves to help make you happy. 4951
When we cancelled we got a call every few hours for the next couple of weeks asking us to reconnect for $50/month total including taxes. But only after we cancelled and agreed to the ETF fee. If we did reconnect they would waive the fees but we just went ahead and cancelled. Had they just went down to $65 before we cancelled they would have kept a customer but plans were already made, couldnt be happier with Roku and ChromeCast. I put our savings in an awesome home security system. 4951
I'm going to cancel and make the move to something streaming. They already waived the two year commitment, so there won't be any fees for disconnect. 4951
I have the Roku 3 in my living room, the ChromeCast in the bedroom and a PS4 in the game room. I like the Roku for Amazon Prime TV. Im looking at getting an HD antenna for the living room and maybe 1 my makeup room/dressing room for morning news. Iv never looked back. I honestly like it this way more then having cable because I watch what I want when I want to. We got a little behind on big brother and couldn't find it on any of our streaming devices but I can hook my laptop to the TV with an HDMI cable and watch it. 4951
