Just thinking about drinking Apple Cider Vinegar makes me cringe, gag and shutter.........No spank you.........I'll keep to visiting with the jolly green goddess, thank you very much........By the way, at our recent check-up with the doc, Dr. Diaz commented on how my blood pressure is that of an active teenager.........I kid you not........I just smiled......  4951

The taste is yucky, but it does wonders for acid reflux! 4951

@attila: So you take acid for acid reflux?
Seems counter intuitive for some reason. 4951

@FoFa: You would think, but seemingly acidic food can cause our body to be more alkaline. Vinegar is just one example. Tomatoes and lemons help too. I'm trying to remember the science behind it. Somehow it causes your stomach acid to calm down by doing the work for it, or something like that. ACV is the number one cure-all on Earthclinic.com.

@Mahm:
Maybe I'm eating the wrong kind of tomatoes! Because every time I eat tomatoes my acid reflux goes all kinds of crazy.

@FoFa: I know...sounds weird. However, the reason we get an over acid stomach is because the body is overcompensating for an initial lack of acid in the stomach during digestion. At least that's how it was explained to me.

I've also found that 8oz. of Just Cranberries helps too. It's very tart, makes my jaws seize up sometimes, but it works as well as the vinegar. 4951
