@Blueglass:
That is a horrible idea. Not everyone can win, that doesn't create true positive self esteem! You can't win all the time, you have to learn how to lose too. Even at a young age.

@boobear Your kids had a negative experience with that program? My niece and nephew enjoyed it. I heard at six grade is a good time to switch to competitive sports to prepare for middle school and high school 4951

@BooBear: I think these programs are more for teaching the game for those who havent played without making them feel like a failure because everyone else started at age 2...LOLI agree true teams need to win and lose but most of these programs are more about learning the moves than playing against one another.

Unfortunately, once you post on someone else's board, you no longer own the thread.  It is a public forum and everyone is free to post when and where they wish, as long as they post within the rules of the forum.  Everyone here are members and posts at the pleasure of KDC, Joe and Dex.  4951

@dalandkatmom:
You are fighting a losing battle with some negative people on here.  FFPS is a great organization.  My daughter played in it and my husband coached it.  And my daughter is a 100% winner no matter what those negative people say.  Don't let them rain on your parade!  Hope your child has a great season no matter what team they land on. 4951

@dalandkatmom: FFPS....ick.  My daughter played when she was 4 and that was all I could handle.  Of course, I despise futbol. At 9 years old, you need to teach a kid how to handle winning and losing.Instead of soccer try this kwlax.orgThere is a baseball league in Forest Cove.  www.kwfcba.org
