Why do SOME men feel the need to lie to get a women's attention? Very frustrating...if a man starts with a lie what makes one thing they will ever be honest.
Sorry had to vent. 4951

I think they do it because it works.  If a guy is not all that, she moves on to another guy that is.  Of course that all depends on what the lie is about.    But women do it too. 4951

I don't understand why people aren't honest. If the goal is to be happy, why lie.  But the fact is that some people's goal is not long term.  And with today's divorce rate, it seems most people's aren't.   ...possibly because they lie.    Or maybe because they fall for another liar. 4951

It definitely goes both ways. It also definitely sucks. I just say be patient though. Good things come to those who wait and you deserve someone honest who will treat you right. Then again I know nothing about playing the field sooo I may just be no help? lol. I don't know. DH was my best friend in high school before we started dating so I guess I just got lucky. I wish you all the luck in the world though an hope you find him. Emoticon 4951

@DCowboys: Exactly how I operate, and exactly the reason why I have had a lot of short-lived relationships Emoticon1. I don't settle, no matter how difficult it has made my life.2. I don't have the time or patience for BS.3. I have no problems breaking it off with liars and writing them out of my life for good, no matter how good looking they are, and no matter how difficult it makes my life because it all goes back to number 1..I don't settle.Kids, religion, politics...usually the big no-nos for first dates, are first date conversations for me..I don't have time to waste my time or someone else's if we are not on the same page. I'm not in the game to impress anyone, I'm in it to find a life partner and companion.

Short lived relationships are also a flag.  ...run into any problems, she is quick to bail. But if she has been in a long relationship and the guy was a deusche bag, that's red flag. He doesn't know when to get out. Even if she is willing to stick through it to the end, it could be because she is settling.     I guess it all depends on how you look at things.  You have to be willing to accept personal flaws.  Lies are not acceptable though.  IMO 4951

@DiverDude: I agree it can be a red flag, but not completely. I just know what I want in life and the type of person I want to be with. I'm very confident and assertive. I used to stay in relationships for far too long because I was "in love" and wanted to make it work even though the dudes were douches. Not anymore. Been with current BF for 8 months now and going strong, usually by 3 months I'm ready to break it off.

It definitely goes both ways. Women tell lies too.I think if you meet someone who isnt ready to stop lying and be themselves, they definitely are not ready to be in any kind of relationship. There are plenty of nice guys out there, dont get discouraged and settle for someone less than what you deserve. 4951

Story: I went to brunch on Sunday with a few friends there was a friend of a friend there. He started talking to me telling me about this construction company he manages and how he is building his house out in huffman. I was nice and listened but I was not interested.
I left when he went to the restroom so lastnight I am talking to my girlfriend and she tells me "guess who wants your number?" Well it was "josh" I tell her I am not interested and she tells me good because he has a girlfriend and he's a loser. Turns out he works at a welding company and he lives with his girlfriend. She's the one building a house out there from money she inherited after her grandma passed away. LOL so yeah LOSER...

Sounds like a man that knows what he wants. He's a real "go getter"!   He sounds  assertive and determined.  Qualities of a great perspective.   Emoticon 4951

@xjamiex:     I'm not bagging on you.  It's a flag, not a red flag.  I'm just saying that  being too flighty can be a risk.  There are a lot of things that can set off flags.  It just is something worthy of looking into, not necessarily that they are problems.   I have been been told by some girls that since I have never been married that it is a flag. Which I found ironic.  So you would rather find a guy that can't keep his commitments?  Which again, is only meaning that it is worthy of looking into.  Sometimes a divorce is the best option, and in some cases it's the only option.

@DCowboys:   I bet she'd like to know how lucky she is.  "He" may not be building that house if she found out.  ...or at least not moving into it.
