It is a big risk, and like I mentioned one that has made life difficult for me. I could have been married by now and had my dream home if I would have settled, but here I am at 25 still living with my parents because I refuse to stay in a relationship that makes me unhappy.

@xjamiex:
   Don't down on yourself.  I know several guys that are in his mid 30s and still living at their parent's or under their parent's finances.  Some for good reasons and other's because of "issues".
  A few years of your life isn't worth suffering forever for.  Neither is the house.  No matter how great the house might be, if it only brings bad memories it will eventually become nothing more than a house.

@xjamiex:

Aww you are still young. Take your time enjoy life and do not settle.
 I am 35. My 1st marriage did not work out but got two awesome boys and a lesson in life of what I do not want in a husband out of it
 The men out there now never cease to amaze me (not in a good way) so I am actually happy being single.

I guess lying to get a woman's attention is b/c he wants to be with her but I don't get that really. It's a dangerous game to play, as the truth has a way of surfacing...and when that happens it won't be good.
Both sexes lie, humans lie, but sometimes they are little things or privacy issues which I think is different than DECEPTION.
Lying also keeps sommeone from knowing the true person...also a bad deal.

Why do SOME men feel the need to lie to get a women's attention?

Quote from Friends (the TV series):

"I guess we are looking for an aswer more sophisticated than... to get you into bed!"

Men have always lied to get some. I always found it to be a terrible strategy, but a lot of men have always used it.

@notfromhere: Yeah, a few women won't fall for that trap, I'm pretty sure...

Sometimes I think lying is just more attractive than the truth, if you are looking for a quickie and you don't want to say it up front..
"Can I use you and then not call you again, cause well, I won't respect you after and I don't want to say that."  LOL.

I married my husband when our only disagreement was kids -  YEAH kinda a big one.. He used to say he didn't want any.. I knew he would be a great dad and I knew in time he would change his mind..
And now we have two boys, he is a great dad and husband.... One of those cases where I knew him better than he knew himself....   BTW  no trick was involved, we were "trying" when we got pregnant.
