i don't want carnival rides, bumper cars, etc.  i want a nice "hang out" type place.  not one full of screaming adults/kids with too many attractions!  but, that's just my two cents.

no dogs either! lol 4951

Yeah, I dont think any crazy attractions would be a good idea. I like what they already have there, but they are missing just one good down to earth staple type of place. For one thing, getting in and out of there would be a nightmare!

@PedroDePacas: ........simply because it wasnt planned very well.
@kingwooddiscgolf: it wasnt planned to be a kemah boardwalk or a galveston pleasure pier. It was planned to be just a little strip of restaurants and wine bars.  I think a flying saucer type place would be the anchor that holds the place down. 4951

It needs to be more like market street in the woodlands. Nice restaurants with chain stores & a movie theatre. Maybe not a movie theatre or the same stores but an entertainment place & some strong stores. Swanky restaurants as well as normal priced ones. Great concept & lovely place to go. 4951

@PedroDePacas:   it wasnt planned at all, thats why all the commercial space is still empty and the food folks come and go. 4951

I would love to see a Crate & Barrel or a Williams Sonoma or even just a nice upscale boutique type of place like Anthropologie.  A good lunch spot would go over well too.  Something that has excellent salads and sandwiches but could also have great and unique dinners like Backstreet Cafe. 4951

A great coffee shop would go over well too.  An adult cooking school, painting and wine place, cigar bar, etc.  I like that they have kept it more of an upscale location.  I can get excellent food and ambiance without drunks everywhere and having to drive downtown.  I think Sorrento's should have gone into Kings Harbor instead of the strip off of 494. 4951

@kingwooddiscgolf: i think the ones that have come and gone have decent explanations.

the wine loft was not due to the lack of business, it was a liquor license issue i believe

the old ice cream place was dirty and overpriced

i think bookstore was "before it's time" and should have been something that was added after the business picked up

not sure about the original mexican place, that was before i moved here 4951

@Wendee:
I was just thinking the same thing.  I did some research and this place is already in Houston...maybe we could convince them to come north!

I have asked for additional info on franchising.  My husband is going to think I'm crazy but I think it would do awesome.
