I have a simple question. For those that do not like the current health care law, what would you do to reign in the out of control system we have now? Unlike the choice to own a car or home EVERYONE is going to use the health care system sooner or later whether they're financially able to access that system or not. That being the case other than villifying the person that at least has tried to do something, come up with a viable alternative, submit it to your congressional representative and see if he/she can have it replace the current law. Otherwise for those advocating secession, rebellion and other similar ideas we as a nation have gone done that road before and will not do so ever again. Perhaps countries like Syria, Egypt or Iran will be more to your liking.  This great country of ours has many good hearted people, I'm sure you'll have no problem finding folks to help you pack.
Will at least Ive moved up to "villain status" from being a racist because I disagree with the Marxist that Obama is.
What would I do?
#1) eliminate the federal restriction on interstate sale of insurance. This restriction leaves only two or three providers per state reduction competition and increasing prices. Increasing providers will give consumers more choice.
#2) phase out the federal incentives to businesses that create the link between employment and insurance. It is absolutely prepostrous for one person to pay the same insurance rate as another person just because they sit in adjacent cubicles. Can you imagine of car insurance was sold that way?
When you combine the two above, different insurance providers will offer different policies and/or different segments in the market. I'd love to be part of a group insurance with the following: a) no smokers allowed b) only people in excellent physical health because of healthy living habits determined by BMI and annual physicals c) no kids on the policy d) low premium/high deductible until I get older.
#3) state run STATE RUN exchanges can be created for high risk groups such as cancer survivors or congenital ailments. Sorry, but life is not fair. I don't have a problem subsidizing these exchanges with tax credits, paying for healthcare providers/use of infrastructure, etc.
