Why bother wasting people time if it is not open to public discussion? Makes it sound like the residents of KW are going to be told what is going to be done whether we want it or not.

If enough people say they don't want this in large numbers, then I believe that it will be put off. Dave has to be elected again and even though he says he is not making the decision it is his committee that he put together and should be held accountable. So let Dem. work and say what you have to say even if after the meeting.  4951

@terboggs: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Stan Sarman put together the committee members for this?

From what I can tell, Dave put it together. That jives with what he said that was published  in the papers and also with the comments made to me election day when a woman told me of her connects to Dave and her being on the committee. Dave spoke the the Kingwood tea party in Nov and made it plain that he wanted the eight lanes to be constructed. But I noticed that in the spring he started making comments that it would not be his decision but ours speaking to the audience when he got flack. Later he started saying the a committee that would be put together would make the decision distancing himself from the fallout. But  yes, his hand is on this.  4951

Mobility Committee meeting was held in the smallest room. Presenter in the middle 10 extra seats put out for on lookers. Fourteen people had to stand where ever they could to find out what will happen to Kingwood drive. If they allowed public comment this would have been silly. Let us plan we'll tell you what we decide. The public comment meeting will be May 13 at 5:30. I have notes on what that will look like but will wait for a week to put the information out.
