David Kirkland age 49 was arrested for stealing more than $200,000 from his employer. The court documents reads “Kirkland unlawfully appropriated, by acquiring and otherwise exercising control over property, namely cash money, of the value of over $200,000, with the intent to deprive the complainant of the property.”Source:http://www.yourhoustonnews.com/humble/news/kingwood-man-arrested-for-allegedly-stealing-from-employer/article_c5882daf-8707-5a37-aaf9-373a5ddff8ce.html 4951

I looked at his picture and thank goodness I don't know him. I think he might live in Sherwood Trails. (I googled him) 4951

That is odd $450k bond embezzling a little money, $50k bond for murder? I guess I'd rather have a thief running around than a killer. 4951

Man, I feel sorry for everyone involved.  What comes over a person to do something like that.  His wife and his kids suffer.  Their lives will never be the same again.  They need our prayers.  Even his employer needs them. 4951

I hope this is a misunderstanding or something and it is all worked out. This guy was my Microsoft networking teacher at loan star college back in 2002-2003 and I owe much of where I am today to this man. He was instrumental in me getting my first job right out of college. He is a really, really smart and talented guy that I have always held in high regards and I really hate to see this happen to him and his employer 4951

Greed and frustration, I will assume, is why people resort to crime. It's terrible and so damaging. If this is real, I feel bad for the hard times ahead for the family. Ironic though, he probably started stealing because him and his family were in a financial bind and now they are right back were they started (worse), only now shamed and he's going to prison for it. Just sad. 4951

I am interested in his life style. Was he living high on the hog or was he in some type of crisis like medical bills, etc. Neither one makes It okay. I'm just curious on why.

Several years ago I met a woman whose husband was in jail for embezzlement. He stole upwards of a million dollars. He was using it to live high, buying the best of everything and telling his wife he made much more than his actual salary. He went to prison and left her with a disabled son, no job, no skill, and no means of income. She worked as a barista in her mid 40's, lost her house, and almost every possession she owned and had almost no way to take care for her son. It was a sad sad story. Just because he was a greedy selfish sob. 4951
