When the two bladed razor came out, I thought it was a good idea.  I've been using the double blade type for the past 20+ years and have been happy with them.  Now, they offer three, four, and maybe five blade units?!?I needed a new shaver handle and the only one my wife could find came with some three-blade sets.  Three blades work fine on flat areas like my cheeks, but aren't any better than two blades on the rest of my face.  Three blades also don't get all the whiskers near the corner of my mouth or the crease in my chin.How many blades does your shaver use? 4951

I started buying guy's razors a few years ago. I got a much better shave and it's three blades which was night and day difference from the girly ones I was using. They are worth it in my opinion. 4951

I use whatever I can swipe from the package that my DH buys. As long as they are new and don't cut my legs, I have no preference as to brand.  The gel is what is important to me. I usually use the shower gel that is part of the perfume collection that I wear.  4951

@SoonersinTX:  I can see that the three blades would work good on legs.... mostly flat, smooth sections.  Uh, you WERE talking about legs weren't you? I can think of two other places.  One is the armpits (shiver!) And the other is.. well not the armpits.  Emoticon

@mm4731:  Six blades?!  I guess some people believe that more is better.  Emoticon

@retired _engineer...my hubby had the same problem  with the manuel razor blades so he switched to the Norelco 3 headed electric razor he says it gives a lot closer shave than the blades ever did . I still use the old 2 blade system & I'm happy with them . 4951

@Retired_Engineer: Waxing works better for the "not the armpits" region.  Shaving causes too many unpleasant issues. 4951

@Retired_Engineer:

Three blades actually works well on all areas, and I do mean all. You just have to take more time in some places and use plenty of shaving cream. Waxing works too but I've never had any troubles with a razor. 😜 4951

When I first started shaving, I used a single blade injector razor.  It gave a great shave.  I wish they still made them.  I currently alternate between a Shick Hydro 3 and a Norelco electric.  I'm actually contemplating going to one of these.  A Merkur Heavy Duty Double Edge Razor #34C
