I don't know anything about dealing with real reptile snakes, unless we're taking shoes or accessories, maybe a pair of boots. 4951

A REAL snake ladies.  Sorry for the confusion.Anyhow, we seem to have a snake that has made its home in the area between two slabs of concrete on our back porch.  Areas under neath this slab go pretty far back and have been a great home for the toads and such.  Since we seem to have a lot of extra toads this year , I am guessing that is why the snake has decided to take up residence.   Just a gopher snake, but I want to relocate it, but I don't have a chance unless I can get it to come out from between the two slabs.  Otherwise it just goes back under the slab.  So if any of ya have successfully lured a snake, please, share you tips Emoticon Side note: do not google, 'lure a snake' with safe search turned off

@Murf: So I decided to be brave and google it.  I guess my google is less perverted than yours.Time and time again they mentioned bloody tampons.  Also to put a heating pad in a humane trap.

@BooBear: You want to abstain from the penis? Are you switching teams?

As a child, I remember having a snake "chase" me when we had gone crabbing. I had a chicken neck tied to a string and was dragging it on the ground. The water moccasin thought it appeared tasty and went in pursuit. My family kept yelling at me to drop the line but my desire to run as fast as possible turned me situationally deaf. Finally, a family member grabbed it out of my hands and left it for the snake. We were both happy at that point. No more hot pursuit and the snake had an easy meal. Every time we pass the spot on i45, I still remember the event some 35 years later! 4951
