My apologies on blaming Hillary for the "No Child Left Behind" crap. I mistook it for her foolish "It Takes A Village" crap. The "No Child Left Behind" was what started the school system focusing on the lowest level students. Instead of allowing students to fail and try again, they have to hold better students back until the lesser students can catch up with them...... which rarely happens. It doesn't take a village to raise a child, it takes responsible parents to do what they are supposed to do instead of trying to be their child's "buddy". Once the child is fully grown and is a working member of society, then you can work on being their buddy. As children, they NEED discipline and a good example from parents. As Bill Cosby said, (something to this effect) "How do you expect children to speak intelligent English when they hear crap at home from their parents?"
@Humbletexan1: I didn't directly blame all those signs on Hillary, but I agree with the rest of your post.
@EllaMentry: I blame her for the "It Takes A Village" mentality. I've seen enough of her to know that I never want to see her in office. As an elementary school teacher, are you getting pressure to pass kids that should fail? What about parental involvement in the education of their children? My son teaches at a high school now and is getting fairly good parental involvement. However, when he taught at a low-income middle school in Atascosita, only a few parents were involved, or even interested, in their children's education. By the time they reach high school, the students are either:Eager to graduateWilling to graduateDon't really care but their parents make them graduateDon't care and their parents don't care if they graduateHave fallen so far behind, they will graduate only because the system won't allow failures 4951
