Sounds like it could be a case of neglect...you don't know how the dogs might be living inside. Try contacting animal control, at least to talk to them. 4951

just add yours to it, so that the pile gets so big that they wont be able to put the dogs out anymore

@mm4731: I love this idea except that I actually want to use my balcony lmfao.

Our balcony is right above theirs... it smells HORRIBLE. the smell is so strong it's like it's ON our balcony. We've showed the office, called the SPCA with a complaint (they responded with the possible investigation that we've heard nothing about) and called the police... Nothing is being done. As for moving, we can't do that. I don't make enough money to live elsewhere and I have to stay close to work because I bike... or walk. :-/ Garden hose is a good idea but the kitchen window is adjacent to the balcony and won't spray well without getting our kitchen soaked... and it wouldn't work for them to worry about the balcony being soaked... they don't clean up poo,. what makes ya think that a wet balcony would do much? I am tempted to call health and social services because there's a kid too. :-/ maybe when a CHILD is involved something will be done... stupid... but probably true... 4951

@rmille34: Find out the Management company address and telephone number. First call them, ask for the Property Supervisor for your property. You will probably have to leave a voice message. If you do not receive a call back in a few days, then mail them a letter with the picture. Property Suprevisors will get the Manager to correct the problem. Asking the Manager for their main office number sometimes gets things done fast also.

Write a letter to the health department and copy the police and the newspaper.  Use the words " bio-hazard",  and "toxic waste" .  Ask if you should send a copy to the EPA?   If you copy your management company as well,  you might have to clean up after them too.  But you will get action.  4951

Update: So i'm pretty sure these people are being evicted or someting because they packed up and left w/o telling the office... there's a notice on their door that hasn't been touched in a week and the balcony still looks the same... just half baked poo... something weird is up with that group of people... good riddance. 4951

Yay! I'm glad your problem is solved; well, for the most part. It will have to be cleaned before someone else will rent it, so it's a win Emoticon 4951

Yes. we are very happy minus the smell we're still stuck with, but regardless it's a win! No more barking, kids screaming on the balcony bc mom and dad locked them out and soon no more dog poo smell with our steaks and other BBQ! 4951

How do you suppose this is dealt with when the office won't take care of it and confrontation can and will turn south fast?I can't even use my grill or do anything on my balcony without gagging from the smell... not to mention the perps also bark/whine and complain because the owners lock them outside in all sorts of weather with all the poo...

@rmille34: I had disgusting neighbors like that too, I do not understand how anyone could live that way. Every time I am outside and they open their door it smells terrible and after they moved here roaches started coming up to my apartment. Every time I sprayed they would just come back. I had to keep complaining until they went and sprayed their apartment, then they stopped coming. Even after the office fined them they still let their dog poop on their patio, took several fines so they would stop. Some people are just gross.Write a letter to the office addressing this problem they have three days to fix the problem if they do not then contact the corporate office send the picture, could get the health department involved too, that is a health hazard.

@TXSG: been there, done that... it's bull because they've NEVER returned our call and we've been blowing them up almost weekly. :-/ the whole company is bull... massive amounts of it. we're just looking for a new apartment... then sending the story and images to the local news stations think..
