Just a neat article that lists the desert for each state:http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/2014/08/29/united-sweets-america-dessert-every-state 4951

I was wondering what desert was in Louisiana, then realized that you meant dessert!  EmoticonI think the dessert of Louisiana should be bread pudding (and the bread pudding souffle with whiskey sauce from Commander's Palace). 4951

I didn't read the article, but I heard about this on the radio a couple days ago. I get that Pecan is our state tree and all, but pecan pie is a seasonal dessert. I would have chosen banana pudding for Texas. They said no 2 states can have the same dessert, so maybe that went to another southern state. I think I'll read the article now. 4951

Ok, I see that Tenessee got banana pudding and that they have a festival for it. Makes sense. But Baked Alaska for Alaska? Cheesy. When I lived there, I never saw that on a menu. I would have picked ice cream. Ironically, Alaskans consume more ice cream, per capita, than any other state.

Thanks for the article @Drekonix. 4951

Something with Blueberry would be a good Texas fit too.  4951
