Okay guys, looking for a little help. I'm reletively new to Kingwood, moved here in February 2013. I'm looking for a location to hold my wedding. Since this is number 2 for both of us, we don't want/need anything extravagant, trying to keep it fun and light. We are thinking a themed ceremony/recpetion combination, more of a party really. For 80 guest tops. We visited the Nathaniel Center, but found the pricing to be a little much. The only other option I know of is the Clubs of Kingwood golf course.There have got to be some "hidden treasure" type places that I am not aware of, for our out of the box wedding/party..... Any help is appreciated! 4951

@SanneStanley:
If you're dead set on staying IN kingwood for it, you're going to be paying higher prices, even at country clubs. What is your price range? Congrats on the wedding btw! 4951

The Tasting Room has an upstairs- we hosted a dinner for out of town guests the night before our dd's wedding- they did a nice job. Chachis has a back room but I don't think it could hold 80 4951

Town center,, free to public?Kingwood is hard, there is not much you can do. The country club is the best possible place for cheap. 4951

Thanks!Not dead set on Kingwood, would like it to be close if possible. But I'm not against going to Houston either. Really looking for a "one stop shop" kind of place. Don't want to stress too much about it. Looking to hold the total event for around 6k, but that would include everything. Venue, drinks, decor, yadda yadda yadda.... Emoticon 4951

I went to a wedding once at Kim Son restaurant in Houston it was loads of fun and the food was fantastic. Just a thought if you were looking for something a little farther away than Kingwood. 4951

@SanneStanley:
I'm getting married in June at a yacht club in Lake Conroe. Gorgeous venue. With the food it was $3k or $4k. But the great deal we got on our venue left me lots of money in the budget for my dream dress & decor. They do not provide decor but they have some vendors who can bring it for you. We're doing out own but they have a list with a few choices that they work with. It was the only venue under 6k I could find. Ceremony on the water, reception in the promenade room. Mine is going to hold 100- 120 ppl, so 80 would fit nicely. 4951

@SanneStanley: yeah check The Tasting Room- ours was 700-800 for 20 people- food, wine and service. We chose to do lots of heavy hors d'oeurves instead of a sit down dinner so people could mingle but they have tons of options- from hors d'oeurves to dinners and dessert options

The only way to get 80 in the Tasting Room is to take the whole place and the patio, even then it will be tight. The KWCC has the Pavilion that is a bit different, not the main clubhouse more out in the woods.80 is probably about all it will hold.How about the new place in Atascocita, think it is called the Overlook - used to be the clubhouse for the old golf course? 4951
