When drastically cutting carbs, you should expect w carb withdrawal headache and crabbiness. You can combat this by eating an orange twice a day am/pm. Drink 64 to 80 oz of h2o. 4951

If it's your first time, expect to cheat. BUT don't worry, one mess up doesn't ruin everything. Stay on track, & you will lose weight. If you HAVE to have a carb (& your body really does need carbs) realize that there are healthy carbs & bad carbs (bad is just about any white bread or pasta) & always opt for the healthy carbs (whole grain, etc.) Good luck! 4951

The low carb tortillas, they taste fine but each one has about 40% of you daily need of fiber...Michael was eating those like cookies...it was not fun around my house for a few days 4951

I tried this type of diet years ago and found I got icky sick of eating fats, but I did lose weight quickly.  Afterwards, I realized I'd lost my craving for starchy carbs and kept my weight off for a long time.  But..... 4951

@Heathur: Great advice!  Of all the diets I've tried (and failed on!) low carb was my most hated.  I just couldn't keep it up and felt so terrible when I cheated.Back
in October my doctor put me on South Beach for PCOS and I've lost 20
pounds since.  I skipped Phase 1 (I hate that induction stuff!) and I only occasionally feel tortured.  Emoticon  The difference is that
you can still have carbs - just not the bad ones.Good luck!

@bowtieguy:  How many carbs will be be eating a day? When I was on that diet I would always save 5 or so carbs for the end of the day and enjoy one of those tiny Hershey bars, the ones that are about two bites. It was just enough to keep me away from chocolate, especially the Reeses cups in the checkout line.  4951
