If it's your first time, expect to cheat. BUT don't worry, one mess up doesn't ruin everything. Stay on track, & you will lose weight. If you HAVE to have a carb (& your body really does need carbs) realize that there are healthy carbs & bad carbs (bad is just about any white bread or pasta) & always opt for the healthy carbs (whole grain, etc.) Good luck!
@Heathur: Great advice! Of all the diets I've tried (and failed on!) low carb was my most hated. I just couldn't keep it up and felt so terrible when I cheated.Back
in October my doctor put me on South Beach for PCOS and I've lost 20
pounds since. I skipped Phase 1 (I hate that induction stuff!) and I only occasionally feel tortured.Â
 The difference is that
you can still have carbs - just not the bad ones.Good luck!
