I am in a tremendous amount of foot pain. I've tried cortisone shots and used two different custom orthodics. Doc thinks I need surgery. My right foot is so bad right now I actually think I may need crutches to get around, but then my left foot would worsen. Anyone out there have the surgery done? Success? 4951

Just noticed my link I provided is not for a doctor but a company that provides products to help heal the feet. Hope it still might help you. 4951

What doc are you using for the shots? And have you tried acupuncture?    I have a wonderful lady I can refer you too.I have had the shots and wear the insoles.  Makes a huge difference.  But so does wearing the right shoes.  No flip flops.   I can wear Yellow Box for brief time, and my crock flip flops.  But I have to wear tennis shoes most of the time.

@Fallon: Dr. Miller and he is great. I got the right shoes and everything. He said it's not common for someone not to respond to all the treatments. No acupuncture. I have had bad feet since I was little and have had 2 surgeries on one for Taylor bunions (on the outside) and one on the other foot as well. I have little metal pins in them. I have heel spurs too. I think he needs to go in and fix my footsiesEmoticon

Ideal feet is custom orthotic s..they are just as expensive as the ones from dr. My feet KILL ME most of the time. I need surgery badly on both feet. That is the main reason I switched jobs. I just cant stand for 12 hours a day. Cortizone shots do nothing.

Lets have surgery together!!! It will be fun! 4951

@BooBear: It will be two years this Spring since this started. I don't have insuranceEmoticon After the new year I should have it, then can get my feet done. We should do it together. You and I can stay at one house and we'll put all the kids and their dirty dishes, laundry and garbage in the other house. At least we can hang out and watch movies together and stuff. I was thinking maybe over Spring Break.

@Nicole4647: Superfeet are good for a lot of people. I tried those b4 my first pair of custom orthodics. I have NB shoes from the store too. My feet are stubborn!

Well, I think he used a new procedure and I ended up with scar tissue. My toes on my right foot look deformed. I don't blame him totally. 4951

Everyone I know who has had the surgery were sorry. I have had really bad cases...I also had an episode years back causing me to need a crutch for several months. Doc also suggested the surgery...I decided against it.I uses SAS shoes and I do the wall stretch where you put your toes against the wall and stretch the arch muscle. Or while watching TV or something pull toes back towards you several times while sitting with legs prompt up.I havent had a super painful episode in years since I started with the sas and stretches. 4951
