While I love being a teacher, I do NOT like getting gifts that say the word "teacher" on them. Here are some pointers:Ask your child what kind of personal items are in the classroom. Does the teacher have family photos? Pictures of kids, a dog/cat, etc.? Any sports team logos or posters, etc.? Those are always good clues.I'm a coffee drinker, so anything related to that, or anything technology, is always good. Never give cologne or perfume, as those are very personal items and the teacher already has their own preferences in those areas. Gift cards are always a good choice. And avoid giving any kind of alcohol to the teacher; we all appreciate that kind of gift, but alcohol is banned on school property.
