What a bummer.
I'm the total opposite. I'm a Christmas crackhead. Baking constantly, always wrapping presents, whether they're presents from us or I'm helping my mom tackle her wrapping. We've been taking stuff to neighbors, baking for DH's co-workers, watching Christmas movies every other day, doing Christmas crafts every day, planning fun places to move that damn elf on the shelf, singing along with the Christmas music daily on sunny 99.1 in the car, I loooove Christmas! You are SO blessed with a loving DH, 3 amazing boys, your health, a beautiful home, food on the table, a wonderful community, family, friends. Think bigger picture. If your 12 year old is being a grinch, give him what little he is asking for & maybe be creative with some other gifts he is not asking for. I'm sure he will appreciate anything you get him. Do some of the things with them that maybe you enjoyed doing with your loved ones as a child. Make some ornaments for the tree, do some baking, go ice skating, make a gingerbread house, drive around looking at Christmas lights, etc. I hope you find your Christmas spirit. This really is the most wonderful time of the year.
