This was weird... so I call suddenlink to pay my bill,,, I talk to the guy, who says he can upgrade my internet and lower my bundle payment,, and save me money. He said that the rate for internet, cable, and telephone are all going up anyway.So he changed my service,,, in the middle of talking to him I lose phone service.I call back,, get phone, but now not internetcall back,, lose phone and internetcall back get ahold of 4th person, said my phone was not connecting, and internet was slow, but not connecting... so they sent a tech.of course we reset the modem several timesA tech comes out a few hours later,, he cant figure it out. he calls over another tech.. they check everything,, still cant figure out why its not working. Replace the modem which made things worse.. now no cable,,, and the alarm does not work due to phoneFinally after a few hours,, they replace with a new fancy upgraded modem,, it works!all that after just paying my bill 4951

Ha! Thanks for the laugh! (And, fwiw, I lost cable/internet (and probably phone, too - I didn't check)) around 1:30ish - out for about 15 minutes. Maybe you caused the outage?! Emoticon 4951

Are they the only cable/sat company that will not hook their system into your current dvr/stereo ect? Direct and Dish both did mine, no questions, my mom had ATT before moving to KW, and ATT did hers as well, but just had SL installed, and they've been out 4 times (another story, but none of their equipment seems to work), all 4 techs told her, and then me today, they can't touch any equipment other than SL's. I've never experienced that with any of the others. 4951

I've been meaning to get rid of them but I'm afraid of dish or dtv wipeouts during bad weather 4951

I agree; we too are afraid of Dish etc.  But the inreaased prices are outrageous.  Something needs to be done.  4951

I cant get dish or directv,, because of the trees across the road,,, they block the view,, I would have to remove 4 trees from my yard.. that's not going to happen 4951

I think their is a company called Clear that was in the mall a while back.  Anyone try it?   It seems Suddenlink is taking advantage of the monopoly they have in this area.  4951

I think their is a company called Clear that was in the mall a while back.  Anyone try it?   It seems Suddenlink is taking advantage of the monopoly they have in this area. 
 
@Zephard: I was going to try Clear a couple months ago, but Sprint bought them a few months back, their prices have changed, you have to go through SPrint now, I didn't have good luck trying that. Its SL, or CL (some can get Comcast), I have CL and am having decent luck with them.
