So Memorial Hermann has been spoiling their employee's all week & I think it's awesome. They do this every once in a while but they gave them their Christmas gift on Monday- a super soft & luxurious blanket. (I like it better than the duffle bag from last year aka my gym bag, lol. But it was nice too.) On top of a gift to all of their employee's, they're doing little things daily to show their appreciation. Monday they got everyone nothing bundt cakes, Tuesday was cookies, & Wednesday was lunch from Italiano's. FOR EVERYONE. Who knows what today or tomorrow is but I think it's just awesome. I feel so blessed that DH works for such a great company. He works his butt off & it's nice to know that his employer appreciates it. I wish more companies did things like this to show their employees appreciation! 4951
That's cool! I work for a small engineering company and the owner is giving everyone $100 for every year they've worked there. I've been here over 15 years. It paid for my new laptop/tablet device. 4951
@WskyTngoFxtrt: thanks...it's ok. I'm over it now and ready for whatever comes my way. {{wink-wink}}. Our community is near build-out and it was inevitable. 4951
I worked for Memorial Hermann for over 5 years and they did do some really nice things for their employees on holidays and Nurses week and Radiology week. 4951
Considering my husband's recent bill of $38+K from MH for: ER, OR (for 8 staples in the head), PACU, and overnight stay (released the next day)... I would hope they are treating their employees nicely for Christmas! I told him that his one night stay total beat the combination of bills from 2 of my three pregnancies - one of them being a c-section (and 5 nights total in the hospital with the baby as well). Cra-cra. I work for an international bank with over 50K employees. They give us a picnic lunch every Fall. Last year if we wanted lettuce and tomato on our otherwise bland hamburger, we had to pay the 60c or so. Our CEOs' bonus last year was in the millions. *sigh* But, I seriously won't complain - I do get good benefits and I can work remote, so that works for my life overall! 4951
