I just wanted to tell everyone, tonight I witnessed the nicest act of kindness I have seen in awhile. While at dinner for my opa's (grandpa's) birthday the kids at the table behind us came running up and gave my opa a dollar, said happy birthday and gave him a hug, not a lot but still one of the nicest things I have seen in awhile. It just made my day to know people like that still exist. If the kids mom or dad is reading this from Longhorn Steakhouse tonight, I really just wanted to say thank you, it meant a lot to me and my family.Whens the last time something like this happened to someone else? 4951

We recently had a visit from my father in law who was thanking us for helping them recently with some medical expenses. He was taling about the economy and how expensive his prescriptions have gotten (different topic). My 9 year old overhead the conversation and went to his room, took $4 out of his "savings" from his birthday presents and came down and gave the money to my father in law and said: "here grandpa, this should help with your medicine". He took the money so that my son would not feel rejected and then cried when my son left.  4951

WOW I just started crying! That is awesome that there is people THERE REALLY IS! that raise their kids right!!!  We all should pay it forward this week, if possible.  Even if its just 20 to help the person in line before you.  Its a great feeling of being human Emoticon 4951

I paid for an elderly woman's prescription because she didn't have enough money...I don't know if that's the same thing but I felt it was the right thing to do. 4951

I attempted to perform a random act of kindness a while ago while sitting in the drive thru line at Taco Bell. The lady behind me was by herself and looked like life had slapped her hard that day. Feeling bad (and generous) I asked the window attendant how much her bill was - that I wanted to pay it for her. The attendant laughed and then informed me that her order was for her entire office (apparently she's a regular). Not wanting to completely back out of my obligation I handed the attendant a $10 bill and told her to apply that to the $45 tab! Lol.... 4951

On the way to some farm in TX, we stopped for lunch by this little park by a river.  As I was eating, some little kid walked into the river.  The current was strong.  It knocked him over, and started carrying him down the river.  I walked into the river, grabbed the boy, and returned him to the shore.  4951

When we were moving here, we made a pit stop bathroom / coffee break, and a large Greyhound bus pulled in. It ended up that a gentleman from the bus, who looked a bit down on his luck, was in front of me buying himself a coffee but didn't have enough money. The attendant was just looking at him. Like, seriously, dude, you're going to stare down the guy over 40c or whatever it was? I ended up offering him the change so that he could get the drink. I don't care if this man is ever able to pay it forward - I would just HOPE that someone would be as nice to my kids or family if we were ever in a similar situation. 4951
