I have always thought that the train tracks marked the Western border of the livable forest, and that crossing the tracks denoted leaving and entering Kingwood. But since no one else said Kingwood Parc?  That ain't Kingwood.  None of that is Kingwood. I am guessing it is just me.So where is the actual boundary line? 4951

Oakhurst is "Kingwood" by decree of Friendswood..

I think the apartment complexes on the other side of the tracks on the east side of 59 still deserve to be called Kingwood, though...also with the Showbiz Theater and the new giant Krogers seems fair to call Kingwood.

Friendswood draws one border line, my internal map draws a different line, and yet another line is drawn by what was annexed as Kingwood to be now within the City Limits of Houston... 4951

I would call the hospital complex and Lone Star... Kingwood, as well as the retirement homes, companies and future business owners of that forgotten strip of property. 4951

Oakhurst?   Not only across the tracks but across Highway 59?   That's part of Kingwood?  And are they a member of the Kingwood Service Association?  Nope!So after careful consideration of the arguments .... bah humbug!Scrooge McScrooge is my name, when considering the plight of these next-door neighbors. Get off my lawn, you interlopers! 4951

I was here when they started building across the San Jac river.  I said "No way is that part of Kingwood."   I was proved wrong. 4951

I think some of the confusion comes because of the county lines also.  Montgomery County, and therefore Porter schools, start in King's Manor.  And I believe the 'new' Randalls, up front, is also in Montgomery County.  But both of them are considered Kingwood, as is Oakhurst. 4951

I will always think of it as 59. It just seems weird ro me to cross the hwy and still call it Kingwood. And what about across the Lake Houston bridge? That's KW too, isn't it? That seems strange to me as well. I keep saying we need to build that wall. 4951

Starplex
All the new stuff on 59 on NP
Kings Mill
Kings Manor
Texas Roadhouse and surrounding businesses

ALL MONTGOMERY COUNTY

@jax: Where exactly is a "bad part" that we are refusing to acknowledge?
Now...who really gives a ----?
