I stopped by the Randall's at WLHP/KW earlier tonight and there was hardly anyone there. Every other grocery store in town is jam-packed with Thanksgiving shoppers with long lines and stiff competition over the last remaining parking spots. I wonder why this location is such a ghost town. I have to admit, I'm an HEB fan and never go to this store, but I was still very surprised and wondered what happened to their customers? 4951

@donnatella: Do you think it'll be like this tomorrow morning? I forgot dijon mustard, buttermilk and cinnamon sticks. Emoticon (No one panic...they're not going in the same dish.)

That Randall's is weird. The few times I've shopped there (only local store that has good prices on Ahi Tuna!), I always feel kind of depressed and creeped out.  I can't really put my finger on why. It's like I can't get out of there fast enough!

But dijon, buttermilk and cinnamon sticks are dijon, buttermilk and cinnamon sticks! Emoticon Hoping to avoid HEB. 4951

So was HEB on WLH, it was nice and quiet unlike Krogers off 59 where I had just came from. Should have went to HEB to begin with. specs was crowded too! 4951

Randall's is the highest price store in town. But their deli fried chicken is the best! 4951

I like Randall's for their parking and getting out quickly.  There are many times I do not  feel like fighting the crowds at HEB! 4951

The clerk scanned our Randall's card and said, "and no savings!" and everybody laughed. Think it's the third time in a row the card did nothing. Not many people but they are out of stuff like heavy cream which I went in to get. Even for me and my wife it's cheaper to stock up at Sams. Probably one of the best things we did. Cut our grocery bill in half if you don't go in there and buy a bunch of junk you don't need. Most of the carts I see are loaded down with junk food.     4951

@brightlights: Funny you mention that because I felt the exact same way and couldn't understand why. Maybe the lower overhanging ceilings, especially up front combined with cramped, more narrow aisles made me feel boxed in and very claustrophobic. We stopped in tonight because crowds in grocery stores in general are usually worse the day before Thanksgiving, and I didn't want to fight them tomorrow. 4951

only store now with them getting the groceries from cart to belt is the Krogers on Northpark and WLH.  Even the new one you have to unload your buggy.  I like randalls, there meat is always great quality cuts.  Them and Krogers is where I shop always.  I hate HEB everytime I go in there the crowds are too much!  I prefer shopping in a relax atmosphere where I can walk down an isle without having to push my way around food stalkers EmoticonI made a mistake and went to the Wally World in Atascocita tonight!  WOW  rudest people on earth I swear.  They just stand there blocking everyone with the buggies in the middle of the isle, while they contemplate what they want.  Then the little butthead that checked me out was so RUDE!  Didn't even look at me until I was leaving and she then actually said "good night"  This while the whole time she's checking her cell phone.  Actually the girl was prejudice against my skin, ever other person that walked by or got behind me in line was "dark skinned" (which she would greet nicely)  Me being "pale" she just looked at me like "how dare you walk into my line" 4951

@donnatella: It's just something about the Randall's in front of Kingwood that creeps me out. I do prefer the one in the back of Kingwood much better, although I tend to do most of my shopping at HEB or Krogers. 4951

I thought she was referring to the Randall's up front, so I confused the two.... 4951
