Is dressing made with cornbread while stuffing is breadcrumbs?

I love the cornbread kind, the other not so much.

@lola: Traditional southern "dressing" is made with cornbread and contains all the spices and seasonings mentioned. Some people, to include my mother, would also add shredded turkey meat and call it "turkey and dressing", but "turkey and dressing" also refers to regular cornbread dressing as a side dish to the main dish of turkey. "Stuffing" is normally made of bread crumbs with some of the same spices and seasonings, and can include crumbled up or shredded meat as well. It is normally used to "stuff" the cavity in the whole turkey when cooked, but is also used as a side dish sometimes.

It is also traditional in the south to make giblet gravy which you pour over the dressing, however, I have never been a fan of that. I think it is made out of the turkey organs (liver and gizzard) with eggs and broth added.
