Does anyone else ski or snowboard? I was wondering if there are some different places that anyone would suggest they like? I've only skied Telluride, CO. & Brighton, UT ( I checked out Aspen & Breckenridge over the Spring and it just doesn't seem like it would be comparable). I don't like waiting in lines (who does) and I'm not into crowds (who is)Â 4951

Not sure....I'm more of a hang out in the inside of the ski lodge and watch the snow with my girl and some drinks by a fireplace. 4951

tried it once. On my first trip up a ski lift a young girl fell off right in front of me. I kept on going, but wasn't willing to keep falling on my backside until I gained enough skill at it (not sure I would have).Decided I preferred other activities instead. Spent the next 2 days in the bar. hot tub and on a snowmobile. It was the Purgatory ski resort near Durango. Thought the name was fitting. Actually, it was a great place to hang out at. Just that skiing itself was not for me. 4951

I have been Taos, NM, Breckinridge CO, and Vail, CO and Sunday River, Maine, Stowe, VT, . I asked my husband what he thought and this is what he recommended and said: "Try Steamboat. Great Mtn! Deep Snow, double diamonds, long cruisers, Some hairy out of bounds skiing available for the brave. Nice town. Off the beaten path so not crowded. Hard to beat Aspen though. Once there you have four mountains to choose from. Spend a couple of days on Ajax and you will never forget it. going to be more crowded then Steamboat though. Aspen is a major party town with great night life.As far as I am concerned you cannot go wrong anywhere you go in Colorado. It is all good." Good luck and let us know where you decide to go! 4951

Beaver Creek, CO. Very close to Vail bit a lot cheaper and the green slopes start at the very top. Stay in the town if Avon rather than on the mountain and it will cost you half. I have no doubts you'll want to go back. 4951
