I have an area of roots in my yard that I need to have ground out.  Does anybody have any recommendations for someone that does tree stump grinding? Today is Saturday so I can't call anyone until Monday and I figured I'd start with the companies that are listed in the business section of KDC.
@DiverDude: Are the roots connected to living trees? If so, grinding them will likely damage the trees. It might be better to add soil/compost to cover the roots and sod it.I highly recommend Tim Jennings at TNT Tree Service (713-450-7371 or 281-236-8733). He will give you an honest appraisal of the situation and can do the grinding. I found out about his service when I won a free tree trimming here on KDC. He evaluated the tree I wanted trimming and told me that it was dying (which I suspected). He ended up cutting it down and trimmed several other trees at no charge. If you go the route of adding soil/compost/sod, I recommend Matt Griffin at Prime Lawn. He did the landscaping on our front yard. He can also give you his opinion on the best route to take.
