Do it yourself if you are comfortable putting things together....but call a gas guy for the hookups. Â If nothing else they will test the connection and make sure there are no leaks. Â For me thats worth the money. 4951
Shouldnt be that big of a job. Â Just make your cuts straight and take your time with it. Â Make sure the depth of the cooktop doesnt get in the way of anything underneath. Â You should be fine. When you cut through the formica, try to score it first before you cut into it. Â This will help with tear outs. Â 4951
Countertops are the next big purchase but thats probably next summer. Just put in new flooring so a bit at a time. Wiring looks simple but its going to be an exact snug fit. 4951
I always tell my husband , it's easier to call a professional 1st than to call one after you have really messed it up good. And it's less expensive if they get to it before you have screwed it up . Their work is guaranteed ...yours is not ! 4951
It is usually better to make the "cuts" with a router and you can save your laminate doing that way.Saws have a tendency to vibrate the laminate too much and cause damage.Just my 2 cents. 4951
