so we have been told , however it's our day to catch up on everything we did not have time to do through the past week . Like mow the lawn hopefully for the last time since the news says it will be cold enough to snow by mid week . So I go to the shed & check the mower to see if it has enough fuel to do both front & back yards (an acre) of course I need to fill the tank , so I do & then I put the mower in gear expecting to hear the engine roar to a loud start , but NOTHING !I re-check to make sure I have not forgotten to do something before I call "the boss" , better known as my husband .....it makes him feel important (LOL) when I call him the boss. I can't find anything I have forgotten so I call out for hubby to come to the shed. He has been vacuuming out the van .He comes & ask what I did wrong (LOL) typical male question when something goes wrong. So he says let's push it outside so I have better light to check it out. So outside it goes . After checking it over "the boss" says it's the battery , I'll throw a charge on it & it will be ready to mow in an hour. 2 hours later it's still dead as it was before the charge. So hubby says call & see if the garage can come & get it & fix it . So I say let me just look at it & to this hubby says ," there's nothing you can do that I have not done". I say I'm just going to look before I call the garage ...okay ? So I sit on the mower & check all the settings & look at everything under the seat to see if anything has fallen off , etc. So then hubby gets down on the ground & proceeds to check out things under the deck . I open the hood to see if anything is not connected & all of a sudden hubby says ,"who took this connection off ?" I told him he was the one that was under the hood last so if anything is disconnected he did it . I love it when it isn't my fault (LOL). So hubby re-connects the electrical connector & the mower jumps to life after 2 1/2 hours ! I bagged up 9 large leaf bags & put the mower away hopefully for the last time this year . Then I went to the front of the house & cleaned out the front flower gardens & dumped a couple bags of red lava rocks in some bare spots . Hubby grilled burgers on the patio & I fixed mushrooms & onions with pasta & garlic for our side dish . It did not get above 50 degrees so by the time dinner was done it was a cool 38 degrees & time to go inside & eat . Got to shower & get ready to watch "Walking Dead". We get it an hour earlier than Texas . The 3 poodles love burgers off the grill as much as we do ......hope everyone had an awesome week-end ...we sure did ! 4951
