I have to admit, I've been following the status of this course since its closed, really been following it since Mr. Kilgore bought it, and can't wait till it it's opening. I'm "scared" to post on ADC as there's alot of drama that gets stirred up there in relation to the golf course.I would think most Kingwood folks would welcome a new course opening in the area, especially since KW is one of the best, if not the best deal in Houston. Me, I was a member @ KW for years, and even though I think it's great club out there for what MOST people want in a m/ship, Atascocita's going to be more what I'm looking for.I rec'd an email from Mr. Kilgore about the status. The range, and the Shore's course will be opening the first of December, and will be open to public play and also offer a great m/ship to those that are interested. From Mr. Kilgore's email "All nine greens have been scraped, reshaped and sprigged and are growing in nicely. Jack has decided to go ahead and overseed the entire course and greens in preparation for the December Opening and seed was delivered last Friday. At that time the driving range will also open. They will also be working on the last of the debree in the roughs on #3 & #4. They just received equipment (front end loader) to accomplish that and should start that in the next week or so. He will be waiting to take the fairways down to 3/4" height just prior to opening so the overseed comes in. All of the irrigation systems have been up and running for a couple of months on The Shores and a great deal of fertilization and broadleaf weed control has been ongoing. Also on #3,4 and 7 he has resodded major portions of the fairway. Also over 1000 feet of drainage has been repaired and they have another 1000 feet to go. And over 350 stumps have been ground down and removed. "The Point and Pinehurst courses will begin work in Jan., and are expected to open atleast by mid summer. I can't wait, always really liked Atascocita, played it a lot when I was a member of KW and my younger days of school golf. They will have affordable memberships for those of us that do not need all the CC amenities but want to play a great golf course.I'm really looking forward to it opening.   4951

@cador...you definitely don't want to post this on ADC. I don't care, but there was just about an all out brawl about the course on there. 4951
