What kind are you passing out this year? Any overachievers pass out full sized candy bars? lol. Do you purposely buy stuff you don't like so you won't eat it, or stuff you like so you can enjoy the leftovers? 4951

I bought caramel apple suckers, man those are good, hehe. I only ate one. I also have the jolly ranchers sticks too. We didn't get many takers last year so if we don't give those away, at least I'm not stuck with chocolate. Emoticon 4951

We try not to get candy while still getting stuff kids like. Last year we passed out snack bags of chips (Doritos, Cheetos, etc.) & this year we're passing out fruit roll ups. 4951

I went to Party City and got the big varitey bag of Smarties.  I plan to pick up another bag or two sometime this week of something else.  If I were a responsible adult, I would get something I don't like, however, that really never happens despite the best of intentions...LOL.  4951

We always buy the candy we like so I can sneak them into the boys lunch boxes or for a good snack for mom haha!
We had a friend up in Ohio who would pass out the full size candy bars and whatever was left over after trick or treating was over they would give to my kiddos. I really miss that lol 4951

I am buying the fun size because most of the stores are selling that (HEB).  I am making sure I do not buy any candy with nuts with so many children today with nut allergies.  I just want to play it safe!  I usually buy the Skittles, KitKats, Twix and Musketeers (DH likes the Musketeers).  At the end of the night, I used to get one older boy come around with a pillow case of candy.  I would give him the rest of the candy left over so I would not have a lot of candy around.  The boy loved me!  I would see him every year around 9:00p and I would shut off the lights after that! 4951

We straight loaded up.....  So, hopefully we have enough...Last year we basically ran out and had to go into the hubb's personal stash, and he was gracious enough to let it slide.......that time....- Kit Kats, Reeses, Snickers, Almond Joys, Tootsie Rolls, Tootsie Pops, Milk Duds, Gum and Nerds....Now, my in-laws are those "over achiever" peeps that give out Full Size candy bars....{Located in the Atascocita South subdivision off of Yaupon Trail} ....You're Welcome..... 4951

@herron1345:

No. I graduated in 92 and they moved to college station in 90. They left me in the house basically alone for a couple of years...it was great! 4951
