I have decided to make stuff for my family this year.  What are some good gift ideas for people who have everything?  I want them to LOVE what I make them.  I don't want to make something I want, I want to make them something everyone thinks is WAY COOL.  Help! 4951

Something that serves a purpose and doesn't just take up space would be a preference for me. 4951

I say baked goods. Can't go wrong with homemade baked goods in a cute bag or tin. Emoticon 4951

What about a recipe book compilation of family recipes. Typed and bound with extra pages for jotting down new ones. 4951

I like that. I have one but no way I could cook any of those old recipes. I would weigh over 300 lbs. 4951

my grand kids love it when I make them PJ's , I buy house shoes to match & a book & they go nuts ...I buy the "easy sew" patterns & I can top off 4 pairs in one morning , cost is about $3.00 a pair . I also like to make baskets full of homemade goodies &  give them as Christmas gifts to families . Cookies , muffins, jellies , candies ....all the things that most people just do not have the time to make for their selves. My baskets are a huge success & I have been told that everyone looks forward to getting my baskets for the holidays . I pick up pretty baskets at Goodwill for around $1. each & then about a week before Christmas I start to bake & cook & fill each basket till every family has a little bit of everything . Last year I had 26 baskets , it seems like each year I have to add someone else to the basket gift line . I also pop in a bottle of wine or a candle or bubble bath  into the baskets as a special treat. 4951

I like the recipe idea, then pick your favorite and bring that dish along with the recipe book.  Include a new container (baking pan, pie pan, etc.) as part of the gift.

You could also do a basket filled with the ingredients to make their favorite drink, like a Cosmo or Martini basket.

I have that problem with my dad.  Anything we wants or needs, he already has.  One year I got him a basket of his favorite teas, the next, a huge basket with a variety of Keurig k-cups.  4951

How about offering your services for the adults and children like babysitting the children and taking the children somewhere fun!  The parents get a break and the children will have warm memories of you!I like the idea of a basket with homecooked goodies.  My niece has done that.  Make it simple with pretzels dipped in white  and dark chocolate with sprinkles, fudge, cookie, etc. 4951
