Have any of you ladies ever did botox, if so please share the experience? Where did you go and is it reasonable?

Thanks 4951

The only person I've ever known personally who gets Botox is a family friend in her early 60's. I'm not sure how much she pays but she gets it regularly. As an outsider looking in though, it seems to have made her face fatter if that makes sense? I don't mean that in a mean way but it's the only way I know to put it. Like it puffed her face up to smooth out the wrinkles. She's well off so I'm sure she didn't exactly look for a bargain. I personally think wrinkles are beautiful, on men & women alike. Don't get me wrong, I cleanse & moisturizer nightly even now at just 25, but I don't spend crazy amounts of money on it, just whatever target has in their own generic brand, lol. I'm all for taking care of my skin, but I feel like wrinkles are unavoidable & beautiful. I just hope to age gracefully & humbly. I can't control whether it will be gracefully but I can make sure I do so humbly. I prefer all natural over chemical injections, & drink lots of water & don't smoke. But you only live once & your body is yours alone. Do what makes you happy & best of luck. 4951

Not that I have personal experience or anything, BUT someone has had it done at a local dermatologist (Dr Smith) office. The anest. (can't spell it to save my life) does the injections there.  She also does great medical facials.  Anyway, the injections are about $150 and you can get them localized in the problem area (forehead in this case). The results last for about 3 months.  No puffiness in this case, although only one round of Botox so far. The injection site stings, but it is not painful.I think I would only have it done at a dermatologist or doctor's office, not at a Cosmetic spa.  4951

H E Double Toothpick NO!Girl if you come at me with a needle aimed at my face, it best be because a pit bull ate my face.  Or I was disfigured in a horrid accident.Otherwise, age is what it is.If you stay fluffy you don't have wrinkles.  So go eat a cheeseburger.  Cheaper and safer than BotoxEmoticon

I see nothing wrong with someone getting botox to make themselves feel better about their looks. To each their own! I have a family member that has it done on a semi-regular basis. Maybe 3 times a year or so. I don't know exactly what they pay, but I'd guess between $300 and $500, depending on how much is used. Their face isn't puffy. But they also dont't get a ton of it injected. Just enough to smooth out the skin and not freeze their face. I don't know the name of the place, but I know the office is in the same center as Pediatric Associates of Kingwood, on WLHP. 4951

Do NOT go to MediSpa on Hwy 59 by Luby's in Kingwood.  The woman( Ms Davenport) that runs it and gives the injections is NOT qualified to do so.  She charged me over $500 for Botox and did NOTinject it in the right spots.  I ended up with a scar on my upper lip with swelling that has not gone downin over a year and a half.I tried to get her to refund my $$$, but she refused.Always use a doctor for injections! 4951

I believe there is a doctor's office in the mall at Kingwood medical center that has a sign in the door offering Botox.  I don't remember which one though and have no idea how much. 4951

@ taramayThat is Skin Perfections Med Spa, my mother has had their botox done several times among other procedures.  She is very happy with Dr. Mahan.  @ bubbleeyes My mom always buys a package at their open house because they are significantly discounted.  As a matter of fact, they are having one today.  See events sections. We have several businesses on KDC that offer the botox service, here is the link.  www.kingwood.com/bus iness_directory/sear ch.phpYou could call around for prices and credentials.  Their detail pages may also offer some testimonials from local peeps. There is nothing wrong with improving your looks and the way you feel about yourself.  Good Luck! 4951
