Have any of you been? I've not gone but would like to this year, mostly for my daughter. It seems like a pretty cool thing.
If you've been, I have one very important question:
Are there plenty of bathrooms??? I need to know this Emoticon My daughter is still fairly new with her potty training and I can't say "The bathroom is a mile away, hold it".

Also would we feel out of place if we don't dress up? Does everyone dress up? 4951

Don't worry about dressing up, definitely not necessary. Not sure about the bathrooms.

I've heard some activities aren't kid friendly and others are so since you're girl is so young you might want to check it out,

Sounds like fun!! 4951

My daughter is very soon to be 3. According to the website, they have some rides and animals, face painting, things like that. And with her being that young, I'm not concerned about her seeing anything that might be more "adult".
I hope my perception isn't wrong about this being kid-friendly? Emoticon We also want to go for our entertainment as well. 4951

Wow, I love the Ren Fest. I've been going since I was three and honestly I don't remember a thing from back then except the bug-man. We went last year and besides seeing the elephants which I think are abused, it was a lot of fun! 4951

There are plenty of potties spread out over the area.  As far as dressing up, very few visitors do that, but you will see actors walking around mingling with the crowd in costume - some of them very revealing, so don't be shocked.  You can pick and choose what activities to watch and attend.  Stay away from the Winch Dunking and the Stand Up Comedy if you are concerned about your 3 year old.  Foul language and sexual themes are common, kind of like a burlesque show type comedy.  Overall it is a great time weather permitting.  When I went last year it rained the whole day - still had a blast. 4951

I've gone a few times over the years and had a good time but be prepared - it's expensive!  4951
