the only one I know of is in the Deerbrook mall.. I am not sure if its still there.
There was some sort of gaming place off of Chesnut and Kingwood drive, just behind the Exxon or Chevron gas station.. Not sure if thats there either. 4951

DNA Comics in Humble.   I would suggest you go to marvel unlimited and subscribe for about 6 bucks a month and you can read all their comics on line.  They are a little behind but if you buy comics they are 3 bucks a pop.   Some of the other ones have on line options also. 4951

I don't know if Half Price Books has new comics or just back issues.

DNA carries all the new comics and lots of back issues also.  (It use to be in the mall, but moved over next to Chili's almost 2 years ago.)

Swords and (something) off Chestnut had some comics but not a wide selection.

Mostly what I read is Marvel so I got the Marvel Unlimited subscription for $70/year, which runs about 6 months behide the new releases, but save me from spending 40 dollars a month on 7 comics, and read tons more than the 7 now.

@jax

              They still make comic books?
Yes, but in smaller quantites than they use to, and are trying to find other ways to "sell" them, hence the digital copies sold on different websites.

Different comic publishers seem to have different "themes".  DC seems to always have troubled characters, men have anger issues and bad relationships, lot of the female heros have a hard time not being "easy".  Dynamite makes a lot of the 'risque" or adult themed comics.  Dark Horse has some of the popular francised (Star Wars, Transformers, G I Joe).

But when you look up publishers, there are over 70 of them.  DC, Marvel, Dynamite, Dark Horse, and Image are just the biggest.
