Get a water softener. Use far less cleansing agents; hot water heaters and  fixtures last forever, cloths feel and are cleaner, skin and hair (even the curly ones) feel clean. That's been my experience. 4951

@Burnsway:  I think the water here is pretty good (or at least I've gotten used to it).  When I go back to visit north of Baton Rouge, the water is very soft and it just doesn't taste right.

My papa got me to where I dont take bathes to bath. I only soak to relax. I shower to get clean.  He once told me "You know that ring around the tub when you take a bath, well that ring will always be around you too, so shower instead"    4951

@angiekaye: I never take baths, haven't taken a bath since I was a youngster and that's been almost 40 years or more now.... I only take showers, I don't have time to wait for the tub to fill..... showers are quick and I think you burn more calories taking a shower verses bathing.... 4951

I cant stand soft water.  You just cant rinse the soap off. 4951

@kingwooddiscgolf:
This is correct - hard water removes soap, dirt and oil much better than soft.  4951
